SUMMARY Experience has shown that if sheltered work of sufficient quality and variety is provided and especially if there are good living quarters and a certain amount of social guidance and supervision, many epileptics and other neurologically handicapped could live and work outside institutions, which would be of benefit not only to themselves but also to society.
