From scattered observations of the relationship of epilepsy and puberty, the climacteric, the gravid state, sexual potency, etc., the author feels that it is clear that a parallelism exists between epilepsy and sexual functions. He feels that the most likely explanation is that the same changes in metabolism which influence sexual processes also influence those processes which cause the epileptic seizure.
