SYNOPSIS Two patients are reported who developed cardiac murmurs indicative of aortic valve disease during chronic and excessive intake of ergotamine. Ergotamine is an antimigraine medication chemically related to methysergide of which endocardial fibrosis is a rare but well‐established side‐effect.
