SYNOPSIS The level of urinary taurine was estimated in 25 cases of common migraine. These levels were then compared with those of normal, healthy subjects. The urinary taurine levels were significantly lower in migraine. Therefore, we propose that taurine may be involved in the pathogenesis of migraine.
