SYNOPSIS Visual evoked responses (VERs) elicited with two different sizes of checkerboard patterns were obtained from 10 male cluster headache patients and their age‐matched controls. Full‐and half‐field stimulus presentations produced no substantial differences between the subject groups for any of the major component latencies or amplitudes (N75, P100, N145). No differences were obtained for either checkerboard size between the groups or when the specific side of headache pain was assessed separately. The results are discussed in terms of previous VER headache studies.
