Pupillary Dysautonomia and Migraine: Is Adie's Pupil Caused by Migraine?

SYNOPSIS Adie's pupil and migraine occur in the same population. Migraine is an extremely common disease and Adies is not rare. Among 22 patients presenting with Adie's pupillotonia, eight patients had a migraine history and nine had a family history of migraine. Therefore, if a history is meticulously undertaken in patients with Adie's Syndrome, the history of migraine in the patient or in his family may be found. Since Adie's Syndrome is a dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system, as is the migraine syndrome, these entities may be related.
