SYNOPSIS Clonidine was evaluated in the prophylactic treatment of migraine. The results were compared with those obtained with placebo in the same patients. Identical protocols were used at headache centers in St. Louis and Chicago. There were similar results though evaluations were completely independent. Clonidine was not superior to placebo in preventing migraine attacks.
