Lipold proteinosis is a rare autosomal recessive condition affecting the majority of organ systems, but predominantiy involving skin and mucous membranes. The mucocutaneous infiitration due to accumulation of a hyaiine material is positive for both sudanophii and periodic acid‐Schiff reagents. This was iliustrated in a 14‐year‐oid girl with parental consanguinity, who had classic manifestations.
