A county hospital obstetric and nurse‐midwifery service to Southeast Asian refugee families is described, including outreach to bring women into care, translators, and cultural and social adaptations of families and care‐givers. The major concerns are diseases coexistent with pregnancy, diet, and financing care. Families often prefer the birth room.
