EDITORIAL COMMENT: This article shows that in the presence of either continued postmenopausal bleeding or suspicious findings on ultrasonography, a negative result obtained by office endometrial sampling cannot be relied upon to exclude malignancy. This article emphasizes the importance of interpreting all information about a patient together rather than focussing on the result of a single investigation.
