Summary: Psammoma bodies are relatively common in papillary serous tumours of the ovary, but bone formation in these tumours is rare. The occurrence of such a change in 3 papillary serous cystadenocarcinomas of the ovary in 2 patients is reported. According to the authors' knowledge, these are the first documented cases with such a change.
