Summary: The effectiveness of miconazole cream 2% in the treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis was studied in 46 patients who had positive cultures of Candida spp. in Nickerson's media; 35 of 39 patients who received treatment and returned for follow‐up were completely relieved of symptoms within 6 days. Cultures of Candida spp. for these women were negative. Treatment for the male partner was also successful.
