Summary: Hysteroscopic sterilization by electrocoagulation of the tubal orifices was performed in 17 patients. Hysterosalpingograms 3 months later showed bilateral tubal occlusion in 7 and unilateral tubal closure in 5. Quinacrine instillation was performed in 3 patients. All 3 had patent tubes at hysterosalpingo‐graphy 3 months later. It is concluded that considerable improvements will have to be made in hysteroscopic sterilization before it can become acceptable as a method of sterilization.
