Summary: Relationships between placental weight and amniotic fluid volume, and fetal age, weight and crown‐heel length, have been examined in a series of pregnancies terminated at between 8 and 20 weeks' postmenstrual age. The most significant relationship of each is with fetal weight, supporting the views of some previous authors. Placental index has been recalculated using the new data.
