Summary: Forty‐seven patients with cervical erosions were treated by cryosurgery with no analgesia or anaesthesia. Healing occurred in 34 after one treatment and in a further 7 after a second treatment, making a cure rate of 87.2%. Success of treatment appears to be related to the size of the erosion. The most serious complication after cryosurgery was secondary haemorrhage which occurred in one patient.
