Summary: A female aged 26, with the Laurence‐Moon‐Biedl syndrome, presented with massive abdominal enlargement of 5 years' duration. At laparotomy a huge mucinous cystadenoma weighing 19 kg. was found in the left ovary and broad ligament. The post‐operative course was uneventful. This is the first report of an ovarian tumor in a patient with the Laurence‐Moon‐Biedl syndrome, and may be of a relevance in that an increased incidence of ovarian tumors has been found in patients with ovarian dysgenesis (Turner's syndrome).
