Summary A case report of a woman suffering from secondary amenorrhoea of 11 years' duration and primary infertility of 3 years' duration is presented. Clinical and laboratory findings indicated ovarian failure and anovulation associated with XO/XX chromosomal mosaicism. A successful pregnancy was achieved following clomiphene treatment. The wide variation of phenotypic expression and the association of varying degrees of ovarian dysgenesis in sex chromosomal abnormalities of the XO/XX type are briefly discussed. The rare occurrence of pregnancy under such circumstances is pointed out and the value of complete investigation and assessment of ovarian status, especially in those patients who eventually marry, should be considered.
