Summary The incidence of hydatidiform mole and choriocarcinoma over a 16‐year‐period (1950–1966) is presented for 3 major hospitals in Sydney. The cases are analysed with particular reference to previous pathology. The general social conditions in Australia are discussed with reference to the incidence of trophoblastic disease.
