Summary 1. A study of 79 patients with extrauterine pregnancy and 51 patients found to have the Arias‐Stella reaction in curettings is presented. 2. The value of this endometrial reaction in clinical practice is discussed. 3. It is concluded that, in the diagnosis of extrauterine pregnancy, the Arias‐Stella reaction is of little value to the clinician unless the possibility of pregnancy has not been considered.
