Summary: Six patients are reported in whom progressive renal insufficiency occurred during pregnancy. Renal biopsy shortly after delivery showed inflammatory lesions of the glomeruli in all patients. Hypertension and impairment of renal function tended to persist after delivery. Attention is drawn to the high foetal mortality and serious maternal morbidity resulting from acute glomerular lesions occurring during pregnancy.
