Summary: A case of acute pancreatitis in pregnancy is reported. The diagnosis of this disease is best confirmed by early serum amylase estimation. The treatment is conservative. The occurrence of pancreatitis in pregnancy is coincidental and has no specific effect on the outcome of the pregnancy, apart from early termination in some instances.
