Summary:1  Radioactive phosphorus uptake has been utilized in the diagnosis of cervical pathology in a series of 55 patients. 2  A scan 24 hours after intravenous administration of the isotope enables patients to be classified into 3 broad groups, according to the degree of cellular activity. 3  The technique is of diagnostic value and serves as a rational basis for therapy.
