Summary:1 Using Na 24 , 79 uterine muscle clearance tests were performed. 2 Of these, successful calculation was possible in 54 cases. 3 Prolonged clearance times are not more common in hypertension and pre‐eclampsia. 4 Prolonged clearance times are not more common in postmaturity. 5 Prediction of “placental insufficiency” by prolonged clearance times is not reliable enough to use this test clinically.
