Summary The routine care of infants suffering from haemolytic disease of the newborn has been outlined, with particular reference to exchange transfusion. The management of complications which have been observed in these infants has also been discussed. A series of 293 Rh‐positive infants from iso‐immunized mothers has been briefly reviewed in relation to neonatal mortality. The corrected mortality rate was 6.2%.
