Dyeings (2% owf) were produced on conventional nylon 6.6 fabric using 1:2 metal‐complex acid dyes. The fastness to the ISO 105:C06/C2 wash test over ten repetitions was determined. Aftertreatment of the dyeings using a commercial syntan improved the wash fastness over ten washes, and the sequential application of a cationic compound to the syntanned dyeings caused a further improvement.
