During the investigation of dyeing properties of reactive dyes containing a benzimidazolone residue the negative influence of salt concentration on their exhaustion was demonstrated. In the case of model dyes not containing the reactive group, change in aggregation state at various temperatures was investigated. It has been shown that the reactive dyes containing a benzimidazolone residue may undergo excessive aggregation in concentrated sodium chloride solution. This may cause difficulties in the dyeing process.
