Chinese textile and clothing exports have soared since China swung open its doors to the outside world in the early 1980s. As a result, many firms in Europe and the USA are struggling to survive as Chinese imports make inroads into their domestic markets. The nextfive years could bring some relief as Chinese export gowth slows and the country gears upto supplying its increasingly affluent home market. These are among the findings of a newbusiness report.
