Keith McLaren, who died in 1990, was one of this century's most active workers in colour science and technology. His influence in the fields of colour fastness testing and colour measurement was of particular importance. The Society decided to hold a lecture in his memory, to be presented by Roderick McDonald, another well known colour scientist and a friend of Keith McLaren's. The lecture was presented at Dyers' Hall, London, on 19 March 1992. Reproduced below is Dr McDonald's detailed insight into the career of a unique contributor to the world of colour.
