The absorption equilibria and kinetics of pairs of alkaline‐alkaline, alkaline‐organic and organic‐organic ions on acrylic fibres deprived of their ionic content have been studied. The kinetic and absorption equilibrium behaviour of a given ion in the presence of a second ion was found to be modified in way that depended on the affinities and/or rate constants of both.
