Imagine a recipe prediction system that can deal with fuzzy real‐world data. Imagine a system that can automatically improve its performance over time and that can adapt to changes in production variables such as water supply or colorant strength. Until recently this could only be a description of a human colourist but a new technique of recipe prediction is being developed along these lines at Reading University.
