Rapid and reliable procedures for the chemical analysis of insect‐resist agents, or mothproofers, on wool have been developed. These methods, based on chromatographic analysis(using g.l.c. and h.p.l.c), are routinely employed by many laboratories for the quality control of insect‐resist agents on wool textile products. Full details of the procedures used to determine the traditional agents, recognised by the International Wool Secretariat, are described in the paper.
