The modification of the equations developed in Parts 1 and 2 of this series [1,2] in order to make them applicable to practical dyeing systems is described. Particular emphasis is placed on predicting the effects that changes in dye affinity and dyeing conditions will have on the amount of dye adsorbed, and the relationship between the amount of dye on fibre and the amount applied.
