A number of metal complexes of l–substituted–3–pyrazolylazo compounds have been synthesized and their relative visible spectra recorded in acetonitrile solution. The chromatic dependence of these dyes on type of completing metal cation, structure of coupling component, and pyrazole system used, has been studied and is discussed.
