Specific application of BSI recommendations for testing new test methods is illustrated quantitatively for an interlaboratory trial of a new colour–fastness test (colour fastness to chlorination: sodium dichloroiso–cyanurate). Statistical analyses of the results quantify repeatabilities and reproducibilities.
