Exhaustion of dyebaths when dyeing polyester fabric with disperse dyes can be evaluated by comparing two consecutive dyeings in the same bath either by visual assessments or by estimating the ratio of the dye concentrations of the two dyeings. Exhaustion ratings, related to the residual dye concentration in dyebath, are proposed.
