Recent developments in several dyeing machines now in more common use in the woollen, worsted and allied textile industries are reviewed. The review takes into account the continuing change from woven to knitted fabrics and the growing use of mechanical aids to increase the efficiency of production. Reference is made to batchwise and continuous machines for loose material and sliver and to jet dyeing.
