Previous investigations of the stability of simple nitrodiphenylamine dyes have been extended to include dinitrodiphenylamine dyes. Comments are made on the dyeing propertiesand other properties of these dyes. Theories of the relationships between structure and fastness to light developed for the mononitrodiphenylamines are tested for the dinitrodiphenylamines. The relationships between structure and fastness to light of these dyes agreereasonably with previous findings.
