Some of the problems involved in woven textile design today are indicated, with special reference to the use of colour. The ever–increasing importance of colour in textiles is stressed, with particular reference to the export trade. This increased emphasis on colour has brought new problems to designing and production, and some of these are indicated. Finally, suggestions are made as to the probable future developments in design.
