Some of the many faults likely to be revealed when dyeing wool pieces are discussed. These faults may be clue to natural causes or to faulty processing before dyeing, or they may result from unsatisfactory treatment in the dyehouse. Various precautionary measures are proposed and suggestions are made for dealing with these faults.
