The methods now available for the production of novel colour effects in Terylene and Terylene blend fabrics are described for the principal types of fabrics encountered, and the methods by which optimum fastness can be achieved, using currently available techniques, are discussed. Emphasis is also laid on the responsibilities of the finisher and maker‐up when handling these fabrics. A final recommendation which can be usefully made as a general guide to the finisher is to cheek the performance of all fabrics incorporating dyed yarns before processing bulk quantities.
