The largest potential field for the expansion of man‐made fibres is likely to be the woollen and worsted industries, and dyeing problems will largely determine the extent to which this expansion will take place. The paper gives a survey of the various types of problems which may arise, together with some general indication of the lines of development which are likely to be most fruitful.
