A convenient laboratory dyeing machine is described for the dyeing of skeins. Dyeings can be carried out in liquor: yarn ratios as low as 10: 1 using 5 g. of yarn. Twenty‐four dyeings can be done simultaneously at the same temperature, or a maximum of twelve at each of two temperatures. Thermo‐ static temperature control is employed, together with continuous agitation of the yarn, which is kept completely submerged. The advantages compared with the usual pot dyeing methods are listed.
