The functions of CIPA. the International Committee for Architectural Photogrammetry, are reviewed. The Committee, established in 1970, has been the focus for developments in architectural photogrammetry. The objectives of CIPA and the methods of collecting and distributing information are discussed. Publications, meetings and technical studies sponsored by CIPA have been numerous and details of these are given. The future direction of CIPAs work is also considered. A bibliography of all major publications from CIPA is provided.
