These two papers describe selected aspects of the design, construction and testing of the Polar Alidade Plotter. This is an analogue instrument similar in concept to a conventional radial line photogrammetric plotter, in which the aerial photographs are replaced by polar plots produced by the Polar Alidade. With little modification, the plotter is converted into a polar co‐ordinatograph. Résumé Dans ces deux articles on décrit certaines caractéristiques de conception et de construction du restituteur à“alidade polaire”, et on donne les premier résultats de son expérimentation. Il s'agit d'un restituteur analogique de conception proche de colleau classique restituteur radial. Une legère modification peut en faire un coordinatographe polaire. Zusammenfassung In diesen beiden Arbeiten werden ausgewöhlte Aspekte des Entwurfs, der Konstruktion und der Testung des Polar Alidade Plotters beschrieben. Hierbei handelt es sich um ein Analoggeröt, das vom Grundprinzip her einem konventionellen photogrammetrischen Radial Line Plotter ähnlich ist. In diesem werden die Luftbilder durch Radialauswertungen mit der Polar Alidade ersetzt. Durch geringfügige Veränderung kann das Auswertegerät in einen Polarkoordinatographen umgebaut werden .
