THE PHOTOGRAMMETRIC SOCIETY SYMPOSIUM 1975

The Photogrammetric Society held its third biennial symposium at the University of Birmingham from 18th to 20th April, 1975. The symposium programme contained six separate sessions. The formal papers appear in the following pages but, in addition, panel discussions took place on “The Society; the profession; the future”, “Non‐topographic photogrammetry” and “Future needs in instrument design”. Résumé Le 3ème symposium biannuel s'est tenu à l'Université de Birmingham du 18 au 20 avril, 1975. Il y a eu six sessions. On reproduit les communications. De plus, des discussions furent organisées sur le thème: “La société, la profession, l'avenir”, “La photogrammétrie non topographique” et “Les tendances dans la conception des instruments”. Zusammenfassung Die Photogrammetrische Gesellschaft hat in der Zeit vom 18. bis 20. April, 1975 ihr 3., alter zwei Jahre stattfindendes, Symposium an der Universität Birmingham durchgeführt. Das Tagungsprogramm wies 6 getrennte Sitzungen aus. Die Vorträge, die gehalten wurden, werden auf den folgenden Seiten wiedergegeben. Zusätzlich fanden Podiumsdiskussionen über “Die Gesellschaft, der Beruf, die Zukunft”, “Nicht‐topographische Photogrammetrie” und “Zukünftige Tendenzen bei der Konstruktion von Auswertegeräten” statt.
