The paper describes the difficulties, both technical and administrative, in survey for title of small rural holdings in Uganda, and is a follow‐up to a paper published in “The Photogrammetric Record” in 1959. No purely photogrammetrical method of survey is possible in present circumstances. In an attempt to reduce field costs and to undertake surveys on a sporadic basis for the more progressive farmers, a greater use of photo‐enlargements is being made, without relying on the enlargement for the restoration of boundaries.
