Summary The paper discusses, from a practical point of view, the increasingly close connection between photogrammetry and electronics. The subject is considered under three heads: Airborne Instruments, Field Instruments, and Laboratory Instruments. Brief examples of the use of various instruments and techniques are mentioned, with particular reference to the practical advantages and disadvantages. Desirable improvements and probable future developments are reviewed and conclusions as to the potentialities and limitations of electronics in the field of photogrammetry are drawn.
