The paper describes a problem in land tenure survey current in the Kigezi District of Uganda, East Africa. The two authors, one from a commercial air survey organisation, the other from the government department concerned, comment on methods adopted and difficulties experienced both in field survey and adjudication, and in aerial photography and photogrammetric plotting.
