This review describes the IMPACT models. considers some of the studies which have used the models, and provides an assessment of the contribution of the project. There is not one model, but rather a set of flexible models for evaluating the effects of structural changes. Information is provided at the disaggregated industry and occupation level as well as at the macroeconomic level. While there are legitimate doubts about some of the underlying characteristics and assumptions of the models and about the to base and parameters, the project represents, an important contribution to economic science and as a provider of additional information for policy analysis.
