Summary Many sports landscapes are said to have become increasingly ‘artificial’ over time. Landscapes of dry skiing have not exhibited this trend, but instead have become more ‘realistic’ or ‘authentic’. 1 This paper discusses the results of a new study of dry ski centres in England and Wales.
